...New AVIATION...
.KEY MESSAGES...
Updated at 1029 PM CST Thu Dec 4 2025
- Potential for freezing fog across western Oklahoma on Friday
morning.
- Generally seasonable and dry into next week, with a cooler day
on Sunday behind a front.
&&
.NEAR TERM...
(Today and tonight)
Issued at 1150 AM CST Thu Dec 4 2025
A synoptically-driven pocket of very light snowfall is currently
advancing across portions of western Oklahoma. Minimal
accumulation or additional travel impact is expected with this
activity into early this afternoon. Otherwise, temperatures will
remain rather cold (30s) through the remainder of the day today,
especially where low clouds persist for much/all of the remaining
daylight hours.

.SHORT TERM...
(Friday through Saturday night)
Issued at 1150 AM CST Thu Dec 4 2025
Seasonable and dry weather returns to close out the week/begin the
weekend. Areas of freezing fog, introducing potential for slick
surfaces (especially bridges & overpasses) and reduced visibility,
will be possible across western Oklahoma towards daybreak on
Friday morning. Otherwise, a much warmer day is expected by the
early afternoon with mostly clear skies and generally light south-
southwesterly surface winds.
Saturday may again start with areas of fog, this time focusing
across central and southern Oklahoma. Another afternoon of
seasonable temperatures (50s to low-60s) is currently anticipated,
with increasing cloud cover into the evening ahead of our next
system/front.

.LONG TERM...
(Sunday through next Wednesday)
Issued at 1150 AM CST Thu Dec 4 2025
An "ebb and flow" type weather pattern looks to set up as we head
into next week. Broad northwesterly upper flow looks to remain
across the central CONUS for much of the period. A stronger embedded
system looks to move across the Plains on Sunday, providing for the
passage of a rather strong surface front during the morning. This
will offer another bout of cool/cold (40s) afternoon temperatures on
Sunday. Sensible conditions look to rebound some into the midweek
before another system/front towards Wednesday. For now, no
appreciable chance for precipitation is advertised during the
period.

.AVIATION...
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 1029 PM CST Thu Dec 4 2025
MVFR ceilings will linger for a few more hours across the south
and may develop into central Oklahoma over the next two to three
hours so have included at least a tempo for the possibility.
Continue to see some signal for fog development in western
Oklahoma impacting CSM later tonight. It could be dense for a
short time. Otherwise light winds tonight and tomorrow. A weak
front will enter northwest Oklahoma by midday and work south
toward the I-44 corridor.
